Thank you for a tremendous elk hunt this year. We appreciated your professionalism and attention to detail. It made our hunt safe, successful and most enjoyable for my son and me. I did not expect on my first afternoon hunt to see 6 bulls 150 yards from me. What a thrill to drop a 6×5! The next morning was just as exciting as you and Kevin successfully stalked a bull and four cows. I will never forget the joy in his voice as he told the story over and over again. Tyler, thanks again for a trip of a lifetime!

I’ve always been an avid hunter who prefers archery hunting and loves hunting elk. After an incident over ten years ago left me a double leg amputee I was not sure if I would ever be able to get on the elk again. Elk Run Ranch changed all of that. I have been there for three archery seasons and I was successful harvesting two beautiful bulls. The Ranch Manager is terrific. Not only is he a skilled elk guide and hunter, but he is incredibly accommodating and a creative problem solver. I can no longer “run-n-gun” so his stand placement and knowledge of the shifting winds and elk patterns throughout the day become absolutely critical to my success. The accommodations are more than adequate and if you are accustomed to roughing it in a wall tent then you will be loving it at ERR. There is a full kitchen, hot shower, warm and clean beds and it’s nestled in between two beautiful mountains. It is also just a short drive into Steamboat Springs should you need to run to town. Most importantly, wildlife is in abundance! Mule deer, antelope and bear are commonly seen and often within bow range. However, it’s the elk herds that keep me coming back and they are everywhere! You will hear multiple bulls bulging from mid afternoon, throughout the night and into midmorning; they can even keep you up at night. I would not have believed it unless I had actually experienced it personally. Elk Run Ranch is a very special place to me.
Sincerely,
